Bangladesh female futsal players impress on debut

Bangladesh national women’s futsal team put on a good show in the AFC Women’s Futsal Championship 2018 in Thailand despite losing their group games.

The team scored the first goal in their first match against Malaysia.

The team also found the net in their third and final group game against Chinese Taipei.

Despite the losses in group stage Bangladeshi players impressed their opponents and rival coaches with their individual brilliance.

Apart from the valuable game time and experience gathered by the players, Bangladesh’s biggest achievement is seeing team captain and country’s best footballer Sabina Khatun named among the top three players of the group stage of the competition.

To better understand the achievement of the team, one needs to realize that Malaysia and Vietnam are among the top 10 teams in women’s futsal in the world and their players, are between 25 and 35 years of age, very experienced. Besides, both the counties have regular female professional futsal leagues.

So, we hope that with this experience and eventual maturity, the team will see more success in future.
