In striving to make Football the largest and most popular sport in Bangladesh, we need to make football the sport of choice for children. A key driver must be positioning certain national teams as the natural representatives of Bangladesh’s aspiring young players. Our national teams must be the role models that our children look up to and we will ensure national team players represent themselves in a manner that inspires all Bangladeshi players. As identified in the development plan, football must increase the number of elite youth players. Part of this will include male and female representative teams throughout the elite player development pathway. Regular training camps will offer opportunities for upcoming players to prove their worth all along the elite player development pathway. This would, in turn, ensure that the national teams are finding the best available talent.
