Dhaka: Mongolia made a winning start to their Bangamata U19 Women’s International Gold Cup 2019 campaign by completing a 3-0 rout of Tajikistan at the Bangabandu National Stadium in Dhaka on Tuesday.

Mongolia captain Undral Tuvshinjargal broke the deadlock in the Group A opener to set the platform.

Then midfielder Enkhmargad Enkhbaatar doubled Mongolia’s lead in the 28^th minute.

Defender Delgorzaya Nyamsuren put the cherry on top of a very tasty cake in the 69^th minute.

After the final whistle, prolific midfielder Enkhmargad Enkhbaatar was adjudged the Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the match.

Mongolia go top of the table with a healthy goal difference after the first match leaving Tajikistan a mountain to climb to make it to the semi-finals.
