Dhaka, May 12: The final match of “Walton U18 Football Tournament 2017-18”, participated by 12 age level teams of the premier league clubs will be held on May 13, 2018.

The tournament’s finale will be held in the Bangabandhu National Stadium. A press conference was held on Saturday at Bangladesh Football Federation(BFF) ahead of the tournament.

The conference was attended by the senior vice president of BFF and Chairman of the Professional Football League Committee Abdus Salam Murshedi, BFF members Satyajit Das and Jakir Hossain, Walton Group Senior Operative Director (Games and Sports) FM Iqbal Bin Anwar, BFF Professional Football League Committee Member Manas Bose and an official of Abahani Ltd Manas Das, Captain Md. Rafikul Islam and the Chief Trainer of Farashganj Sporting Club Abu Faisal Ahmed and Captain of the same, Nayan Hossain.

The finale of the Walton u-18 Football Tournament 2017-18 is open for all students. The prize money for the tournament’s winners is BDT 5,00,000 and that of the runner’s up is BDT 3,00,000. There are also different prizes to be awarded to players of different categories.

BFF and Chairman of the Professional Football League Committee Abdus Salam Murshedi said the players selected for this tournament were very talented. “This will definitely help us in the long run when they go on to play for the national team,” he added.
